Fernando Bortoli has a diverse and extensive work history in the oil and gas industry. Fernando started their career as a Trainee at the Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas in 1983. From there, they worked as an Offshore Installation Engineer, Structural Field Engineer, and 3D Model - Piping Design Manager at Petrobras from 1987 to 1994. Fernando then served as a Mechanical Engineer and Structural Field Engineer at Petrobras from 1995 to 2000. From 2001 to 2006, they worked as a Deputy Project Manager and Project Manager at Petrobras. Fernando joined STG Sea Trucks Group as a Project Manager from 2008 to 2009. Bortoli returned to Petrobras in 2009 and held various roles including Planning Manager, Deputy Project Manager, Manager, General Manager, and Business Consultant. Fernando also worked as a Project Manager at Petrobras in 2016 and 2018. Currently, they are the Director of the Project Management Office at MODEC since 2023.
Fernando Bortoli obtained a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from USP - Universidade de São Paulo between 1982 and 1986. Fernando also completed their secondary studies at Colegio Campos Salles from 1978 to 1980. Recently, in 2018 and 2019, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General, at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas.
