Michael Cao is an entrepreneur and mechanical engineer who currently serves as CEO of Model No. Furniture (2025–present) and as Founder & CEO of IC3D Printers (2012–present). Model No. Furniture aims to transform the furniture industry through large-format 3D printing and digital manufacturing, using renewable and recycled polymers to create sustainable, customizable furniture for commercial spaces and promote local manufacturing in the United States. IC3D Printers is growing Central Ohio's large-format 3D printing service bureau and partners with The Ohio State University Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence to develop advanced additive manufacturing techniques and applications, with a specialization in 3D printed tooling, jigs, and fixtures. They earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma (1999–2003). Earlier in their career, they held roles at Honda R&D Americas, Inc., including Senior Engineer and leading the 2017 Honda/Acura NSX interior design project for four years, and they contributed to the Sooner Racing Team at the University of Oklahoma as Chassis Design Leader and Team Captain.
