Modern Alchemy is being built on a thesis: AI disruption is driving SaaS consolidation, PE firms will be the consolidators, and every deal that closes creates the same hidden failure point — a cross-sell synergy plan that cannot activate because the order-to-cash process was never integrated. Leaders train the sellers, then hear reps fighting over whose paper the deal gets booked on — a symptom of two incompatible back-end processes that quietly kill the synergy number leadership committed to in the deal thesis. We are developing two interlocked AI-enabled capabilities to solve it: an agentic seller enablement system that activates cross-sell before the integration is complete, and a workflow ontology discovery capability that reconstructs tacit order-to-cash process knowledge before it walks out the door with the people who carried it.
