Kate Roach has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as a Student Athlete Tutor at Cornell University in 2013. Kate then worked as a Research Assistant at the Thompson Research Group from 2013-2015, where they researched the use of indium-gallium-zinc-oxide (IGZO) for thin-film transistors on display screens. Kate was also a Glass Reliability Intern at Corning Incorporated from 2015-2016 and a Research Assistant at the Sturm Group at Princeton University from 2016-2017. In 2017, they also held a role as an Employee at Arlee's Raw Blends. Additionally, they were a Tutor at Milestone Academic Counseling from 2016-2021 and a United States Olympic Training Center Athlete at USRowing from 2016-2021. Most recently, they have been a Materials Engineering Intern, Associate Materials Engineer, and Materials Engineer at Modern Electron since 2021.
Kate Roach began their education at Mounds Park Academy, where they completed their high school degree in 2011. Kate then attended Cornell University and obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2015. Afterwards, they continued their studies at Cornell University Graduate School and obtained their Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2016.
