Daniel Abelson

Daniel Abelson has extensive experience as a legal counsel, with their most recent role being at SHEEX, Inc. Since 2019, they have been the lead in-house legal counsel, providing support to the Sales and Marketing teams in executing commercial contracts and IP transactions. Prior to this, they served as a legal counsel at Modern Meadow, Inc., a bio-tech company focused on animal-free raw materials, where they were the primary legal counsel to the Executive and Management Teams.

Before their in-house roles, Abelson worked as an Associate Attorney at SALMON, RICCHEZZA, SINGER AND TURCHI LLP from 2018 to 2019, defending insurance carriers, TPAs, trucking companies, and truck drivers in lawsuits related to motor vehicle accidents. Daniel aggressively litigated cases and frequently appeared in court to protect client interests. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Capehart & Scatchard, P.A. as an Associate Attorney, handling high-volume litigation in insurance defense and defending Fortune 500 companies.

Abelson's earlier experience includes working as an Attorney at Anastasia Law, P.L., where they handled cases involving family law, business law, and bankruptcy. Daniel also served as an Associate Legal Counsel at NTE Energy LLC from 2011 to 2012, responsible for contract drafting and review, business entity formation, and legal compliance. Prior to that, in 2009, they attended the eLaw Summer Institute at University College Cork. In their undergraduate years, from 2004 to 2008, Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, History, and Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including being admitted to the bars of New Jersey, New York, the District of Columbia, and Florida, as well as being admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, and the District of New Jersey. The specific years in which they obtained these certifications are as follows: passing the New Jersey Bar in July 2013, passing the New York Bar in June 2013, passing the District of Columbia Bar in December 2012, and passing The Florida Bar in October 2011.
