Mark Simmonds has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, having held various roles focused on manufacturing technology, validation, and operational readiness. Simmonds worked at CSL from 2016 to 2021, serving as Senior Manager for Manufacturing Technology and Validation, as well as leading the Clinical Protein Suite Design. Previous positions at CSL Behring included Module IV Lead and Process Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed ensuring compliance with FDA and TGA regulations. Simmonds has also contributed to research and development at Vision BioSystems as a Laboratory Assistant. Currently, Simmonds is the Production Team Lead for Drug Substance at Moderna. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Physiology from Monash University and is pursuing an MBA at Melbourne Business School.
