Sam Snyder

Sam Snyder has over 9 years of experience in software engineering and development. In 2020, they began their current role as Vice President of Engineering at Moderne, Inc. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Gradle Inc. from 2019-2020, where they co-authored the book "Developer Productivity Engineering" and authored the "Developer Productivity Engineering Workbook". Sam also created data generation and manipulation tools for the Workbook. At Gradle Inc., they proposed, specified, and implemented the Java backend of the Build Failure Analytics Dashboard feature. Additionally, they presented workshops on how to improve build performance and reliability through data analysis. From 2014-2019, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Tableau Software, where they founded the Server Build Team and created live dashboards measuring build performance and reliability. Prior to that, they were a Software Development Engineer in Test II at Microsoft from 2011-2014.

Sam Snyder attended The Ohio State University from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
