Bern Seward has diverse work experience spanning several industries. They began their career as a Communications Officer at Human Resources Development Canada, where they trained directors and managers in media relations, responded to media inquiries, and supported the Minister in understanding stakeholder opinions. They then joined Rogers Communications as a Communications Specialist, collaborating with the call center leadership to advance service and sales goals and organizing special events.

Moving on, Bern worked as a Communications Specialist at the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario, supporting the President and CEO in advancing the MLT profession by engaging members, developing practice standards, and building the brand. They then became a Senior Communications Specialist at the University Health Network, where they supported the communication needs of a leadership team and achieved milestones in transforming UHN labs and advancing quality improvement initiatives.
