We design minimalist litter boxes and accessories that look better, work better, and last longer. No motors. No blinking lights. No tech support required.

Since launching our first patented litter box in Brooklyn in 2009, we’ve built a category-defining brand trusted by over 600,000 cat homes worldwide. Our award-winning products combine smart function, clean lines, and high-retention performance that turns first-time buyers into lifelong fans.

Named Wirecutter’s 2025 Top Pick and winner of the Red Dot Design Award and ICFF Editor’s Choice, Modkat has been featured in Forbes, The New York Times, Apartment Therapy, and Oprah’s O List.

We’re growing across DTC and retail, with a lineup on modkat.com, Amazon, Chewy, Petco, and Target. Our assortment includes refillable liners, filters, cleaning sprays, and home-friendly tools that help customers maintain a tidy space—without compromise.

Modkat is proudly independent, Brooklyn-based, and built on one belief: cat products don’t have to be ugly.
