Ed Porter

Ed Porter has over 10 years of experience in the energy industry. Ed began their career in 2011 as an Engineering Teacher at CamExpress. In 2012, they worked as a Domestic Pricing Analyst at npower and an Offshore Wind Commercial Analyst at Innogy Renewables UK Ltd. In 2013, they held positions at RWE npower as a Corporate Development and Strategy and Complex Position Trading, as well as a Generation Strategy Analyst at RWE Generation SE. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Gazprom Marketing & Trading as a Power Portfolio Manager, Power Originator, Gas, Power and Derivatives Strategy Advisor, and Global Strategy & Business Development Analyst. Since 2018, they have been employed at Invinity Energy Systems plc as Commercial Director, reducing carbon emissions through global renewable and storage projects, and deploying flow batteries with innovative business models. In 2022, they began their current role as Director, Commercial & Revenue at Modo Energy.

Ed Porter obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree from the University of Oxford in 2011, specializing in Engineering. In 2015, they obtained an Energy Risk Professional (ERP®) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
