Rickey Hendrix

Principal Well Engineer and Instructor at MR ModuResources

Rickey Hendrix has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of drilling and petroleum engineering. Rickey is currently working as the Principal Well Engineer and Instructor at ModuResources, starting from April 2022. Prior to this role, Rickey served as the Drilling Manager at Aberdeen Drilling International from August 2019 to April 2022.

From August 2016 to August 2019, Rickey worked as a Drilling Engineering Instructor at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Before that, they gained valuable experience at Chevron, where they held various positions. Rickey served as a Drilling Engineer - Offshore from May 2014 to July 2016, a Drilling Operations Performance Engineer - Offshore from June 2013 to May 2014, a Drilling Supervisor - Offshore from July 2010 to June 2013, and a Completions Engineer - Deepwater from May 2007 to July 2010.

Earlier in their career, Rickey worked as a Drilling Supervisor - Land at ECR, Inc. from May 2001 to May 2007. Rickey also served as a Project Manager / Petroleum at Williams & Company from May 1999 to May 2001. Throughout their career, Rickey has consistently demonstrated expertise in drilling operations, project planning, risk assessment, and performance optimization. Rickey has also gained experience in teaching and training as an instructor.

Rickey Hendrix began their education journey at Southeast Missouri State University in 1992, pursuing a pre-engineering and philosophy degree. Rickey then transferred to the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1995 and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1997. Following this, Rickey attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1997 to 1999, studying Environmental Engineering. In 2003, they joined the Missouri University of Science and Technology and earned a Master of Science degree in Geological Engineering in 2004. Rickey furthered their studies at the same institution and completed a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 2006. Finally, from 2006 to 2007, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Petroleum Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
