Yiping L.

Yiping L. is a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer currently at Modulai since October 2025. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Solsten, where Yiping translated psychometric and in-game behavior data into actionable customer insights and developed tailored self-/semi-supervised machine learning models. Yiping held the position of Provisional Team Lead at Unity, leading a cross-functional team of data scientists and engineers, while also contributing as a Senior Data Scientist and implementing predictive models to optimize revenue in ad networks. Earlier roles involved research as a Data Scientist at Aalto University and as a Network Engineer at Chunghwa Telecom, in addition to software engineering at Alpha Networks. Yiping holds a Master’s degree in Machine Learning and Data Mining from Aalto University and another Master’s degree in Communication Engineering from National Central University. Notably, Yiping's publication on self-supervised pre-training for modeling user behavior was awarded Best Paper at AdKDD in 2020.
