Mike Pappas

CEO & Co-Founder at Modulate

Mike Pappas is the CEO and Co-Founder of Modulate. Prior to Modulate, Mike was a Software Architect at Lola from November 2015 to May 2018. Mike's work included building production-ready hotel recommendation tools using ML and other data science tools, building initial data analytics pipelines, developing and managing a devops pipeline for AWS, improving robustness of backend account management, iterating with in-house customers (travel agents) on design and functionality of support products, and helping design and codify culture best practices. Before Lola, Mike was a Technology Associate at Bridgewater Associates from September 2014 to October 2015. Mike's work included being one of three developers designing key workflows and paradigms for deploying infrastructure in a systematically orchestrated manner, building a proxy for AWS S3, and working closely with SREs and customers to provide support throughout the full app lifecycle. Mike was also heavily involved with onboarding of new team members, including dedicating about 20% of their time to training them directly.

Mike Pappas earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Applied Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mike also attended Concord Academy (High School).
