Maya Viswanathan has a diverse work experience in fields such as technology, science, and research. Maya started their career in 2013 as a Senior Project Fellow at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, where they analyzed samples and prepared reports for various industries. Maya also gained experience in using instruments such as DLS and confocal microscopy. In 2015, Maya worked as a Senior Research Assistant at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, specializing in the synthesis of alloy nanoparticles for electrochemistry applications. Maya successfully synthesized catalysts and characterized them using various techniques. Maya also handled gas cylinders and conducted day-to-day inspections. In 2016, Maya joined Module Innovations as a Research Scientist, where they focused on synthesis and surface modification of nanomaterials and various nanostructures. Maya was involved in writing manuscripts, patent writing/searching, and planning experiments for the junior team. In 2019, they started their PhD at National Chemical Laboratory and continued their research journey. Recently, Maya became the Chief Technology Officer at Module Innovations, taking the lead in technological advancements and innovations.

Maya Viswanathan's education history is as follows:

From 2019 to 2023, Maya attended the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physical and material chemistry.

Between 2011 and 2013, Maya studied at Cochin University of Science and Technology, completing a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Industrial Catalysis.

From 2008 to 2010, Maya attended Mahatma Gandhi University and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Applied Chemistry.

Maya's undergraduate studies were conducted at Mahatma Gandhi University from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry.

In addition to their formal education, Maya has obtained various certifications. In November 2022, Maya completed the "ISO 13485:2016 Introduction training course" offered by BSI. In July 2022, they received a certificate on IP Awareness/Training program from the Intellectual Property Office, India. In September 2020, Maya completed the "Startup 101: An introduction to Science and Technology Entrepreneurship" course provided by Venture Center. Maya also participated in a certificate course on Patents for Scientists and Engineers organized by IP facilitation center (IPFACE) at Venture Center, although the specific month of completion is not provided.

Outside of their educational pursuits, Maya has also been involved with the Indian Army's National Cedet Corps (NCC), obtaining this qualification in June 2008.
