Lucas Carstens

Lucas Carstens is the current CEO at Modulize. Prior to this, they were an Entrepreneur at Antler from July 2020 to February 2021. Lucas has also worked as the AI & Data Analytics Lead at Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) from October 2018 to July 2020, where they were responsible for AI & Technology initiatives for Climate Change, Child Health and Youth - Digital Health, Satellite Analytics & Biometrics. From March 2016 to October 2018, they worked as a Risk Technology Consultant at Thomson Reuters, where they advocated for and worked on analytics and AI solutions. Lucas also led the migration of one of the key enterprise risk management products to the Cloud. Prior to that, they worked as a Technology Summer Associate, Research & Development at Thomson Reuters from June 2014 to August 2014, where they implemented a noisy channel model for automated text summarisation. Lucas has also worked as a Research Assistant at Imperial College London from October 2012 to September 2015. Lucas's first job was as a Cash Handling Integration Team at Banco Santander from January 2012 to September 2012.

Lucas Carstens has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Imperial College London. Lucas also has an MSc in Computing from Imperial College London and a BSc in Applied Cognitive Science & Media Science from the University of Duisburg-Essen.
