Chris Deal

Chris Deal is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with a distinguished career spanning over a decade, currently serving as Director at MODUS since 2016, where responsibilities include managing projects and designing building energy systems. Chris co-founded EOS International to promote sustainable development in the developing world through appropriate technology. Experience includes teaching high school ESL math and science with Teach For America, and earning a Master's in Renewable Energy at Makerere University while developing an anti-malaria program. Additional roles range from internships focused on engineering and environmental technologies to leadership in recruitment for educational programs. Chris holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, a Master’s in Education from Rockhurst University, and a Master’s in Renewable Energy from Makerere University.
