Mike Gilger

Chief Technology Officer at Modus Operandi

Mike Gilger has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Mike began their career as a Research Lab Assistant at UofF in 1985, where they provided various support services for the low-temperature physics group. Mike then worked as an Engineer at Intergroup Video Systems, where they played a key role in developing embedded software for analog/digital hybrid video switchers.

In 1987, Mike joined Identitech as a CTO, where they designed an award-winning EDMS product suite, incorporating the industry's first combined structured and unstructured search engine. Mike also developed an embeddable component interface within the GUI for partner integrations. Mike continued working at Identitech until 2004.

From 2004 to 2008, Mike served as the CTO at FYI Corporation, where they designed an enterprise-class data visualization product with patented features. The product utilized a J2EE based infrastructure for near real-time processing of massive amounts of data consumption.

In 2009, Mike held multiple roles in different companies. Mike was the CTO at MediVu, a pioneer in visualization and situational awareness for healthcare applications. Mike also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Modus Operandi, an advanced software company focused on technology and solutions for the defense and intelligence community. In this role, Mike utilized their expertise in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and process management.

Throughout their career, Mike Gilger has demonstrated their expertise in various domains, including software development, data visualization, and technology solutions.

Mike Gilger began their education at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 1979, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Aviation. Mike continued their studies at the same institution from 1981 to 1982 and earned another AS degree, this time in Aircraft Technologies & Maintenance. Mike then attended Eastern Florida State College from 1983 to 1984, where they obtained another AS degree in Pre Engineering. Finally, they pursued higher education at the University of Florida from 1984 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on computers and general engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Mike Gilger has obtained several certifications. Mike completed a certification in Information Visualization from The Interaction Design Foundation in February 2020. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Product Management Fundamentals from Lynda.com in December 2016. Lastly, there is mention of a Pragmatic Marketing Certified (Product Management) certification, but no specific information regarding its completion date or institution.
