CTO at ModusBox

Kent Brown has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kent is currently the CTO at PortX, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the CTO at ModusBox, where they had technical oversight of products and services for enterprise integration solutions since July 2014.

Before joining ModusBox, Kent worked at Nimbo as the Director of Product Development from October 2013 to June 2014.

Kent also has significant experience at Microsoft, where they held multiple roles such as Technical Product Manager for Windows Azure and BizTalk Server from June 2010 to October 2013, and Product Manager for WCF from June 2008 to October 2010.

Kent's earlier experience includes serving as the Enterprise Integration Practice Manager at twentysix New York from December 2005 to June 2008.

Kent also worked at Immedient as a Senior Technical Principal from June 1999 to June 2005, where they contributed to architectural consulting, tech lead roles on large .NET projects, pre-sales, and training.

Kent's career started at PCSI in 1994 as a developer, and they went on to hold positions at Merrill Lynch as a System Architect from March 1998 to June 1999, and at Alpha Technologies as a Senior Technical Principal from 1998 to 2001.

Kent also worked as a Consultant at Navigant Consulting from 2003 to 2005, and as a Principal Consultant at INS from 1999 to 2005. Overall, Kent has built a strong expertise in enterprise integration and technical leadership throughout their career.

Kent Brown completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics at The University of the South from 1983 to 1986. Kent then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University from 1986 to 1991.
