Kara Yates

Kara Yates, M.P.S., is a seasoned writer and editor with a specialized background in digital marketing. She received a Master’s degree in Publishing (with a Marketing concentration) from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Spelman College. Kara eventually earned her spot as Quality Control Coordinator at AFYA, Inc., where she provided editorial and technical assistance to various agencies within the Department of Health & Human Services and the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Soon thereafter, Kara made a career detour to the private sector. She joined MODwedding.com as editor where she report on all the latest wedding style and design trends. Kara is also Marketing Coordinator at Anya Bridal Warehouse, where she delivers external corporate communications and cultivates lucrative vendor partnerships. Other professional experiences include those with CNN, Little Pink Book (formerly known as Pink Magazine), and JBS International. Kara currently resides in Atlanta, GA, where she enjoys ballroom dancing and painting during her free time.
