Felipe Serrano has worked in a variety of roles across a number of institutions. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Researcher Fellow at Hospital Divino Espirito Santo (HDES). From 2008 to 2011, they were a Research Assistant at CIBER obn, and a PHD Student at IIS la Fe. In 2011, they were a Visiting PHD Student at Harvard University. From 2013 to 2019, they were a Departmental Biosecurity Officer (DBSO) and a Postdoctoral researcher, Human Stem Cells | CRISPR/Cas9 Gene editing cardiovascular disease modeling at the University of Cambridge. Currently, they are a Principal Scientist | Group Leader | Manager at Mogrify, where they have effective and collaborative project and people management skills within direct and matrix management structures, and is a subject matter expert in CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing and vector design, delivering results through multi-disciplinary teams.
Felipe Serrano has a diverse educational background. Felipe earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Molecular Biology from the University of Valencia in 2006. In 2008, they returned to the University of Valencia to pursue a PhD in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology, which they completed in 2013. In 2011, they completed Radiation Safety Training at Harvard Medical School in the field of Biotechnology. Felipe also attended Harvard University, although the degree they were pursuing is unknown.
