Alex Cheng

Alex Cheng has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Alex started their career as a QA Assistant at Broadcom Canada, Ltd., where they developed automated scripts and generated reports based on test results. Alex then worked as a QA Tester at Colligo Networks, Inc., where they found and reported defects for wireless collaboration programs.

After that, Alex joined Sanyo Electric Co. as a Junior Software Developer, where they expanded a sample database and developed a C++ program for human face detection using MFC and DirectShow APIs.

Alex then moved on to Schneider Electric, where they worked as an Embedded Java Software Developer, resolving software defects and evaluating product change requests. Alex later became a Technical Lead, responsible for team management and software feature estimation.

Alex also worked as a Software Development Contractor at intelligent True Services Inc., where they assisted in transitioning software R&D from Vancouver to Shanghai and enhanced existing software features.

Their most recent role was at Mojio, where they held various positions including Android Software Engineer, Android Lead, and Development Manager. In these roles, they oversaw teams of developers, adapted agile development processes, and maximized productivity through the use of work apps such as Slack, Jira, and Monday.

From 1999 to 2006, Alex Cheng attended Simon Fraser University. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Engineering.
