Payam Gerami has been working in the software development industry since 2007. Payam began their career as a Software Developer at Mellat Bank, where they developed a data wrangling service and a distributed loaning system using VB. In 2009, they moved to Sharzad Travel Agency, where they designed and developed the BerimSafar online hotel reservation system (the first Iranian international online hotel reservation system) using C#, SQL and ASP. In 2010, they joined backbid.com, where they designed and developed the BackBid online hotel reservation system, coordinating both the development and UX teams using ASP. In 2012, they moved to Genetec, where they were the Lead Software Developer, leading a team of 8 developers and developing 15+ microservices hosted in Microsoft Azure, managing the development life cycle using Kanban. In 2017, they joined Mojio as a Senior Platform Engineer and was later promoted to Senior Platform Engineer Lead.
Payam Gerami has a diverse educational background. Payam completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from Azad University between 2004 and 2009. Payam then went on to earn a Master of Engineering in Software Engineering from Concordia University between 2009 and 2012. In 2016, they completed a Data Analyst Nanodegree from Udacity in the field of Data Science. Payam also has several certifications from Microsoft, including MCSA: Cloud Platform (obtained in September 2016), Exam 532: Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions (obtained in October 2015), MS: Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions (obtained in October 2015), Exam 533: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (obtained in August 2015), MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional (obtained in August 2015), and MS: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (obtained in August 2015).
