Daniel Horvath's work experience begins with an internship at CIB Bank in 2000, where they worked in investment fund and customer services. Daniel then moved on to work as a marketing manager at Buda Family Kft. from 2002 to 2003. In 2004, they worked as an analyst at MVM Magyar Villamos Művek Zrt. and then transitioned to a role as a power and emissions trader at E.ON Energiaszolgáltató Kft. from 2005 to 2008. From 2009 to 2011, Horvath worked as a senior power trader at MOL Nyrt. Daniel then joined ENGIE as deputy director, short term power trader, business developer, and origination from 2012 to 2018. Daniel continued their career at MOL Group as a senior gas trader from 2018 to 2022 and currently serves as the head of Group Natural Gas & Power Supply & Trading since 2023. In 2021, they became the managing director at MOL Commodity Trading Kft.
Daniel Horvath has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Budapest College of Management, which they obtained in 2001. Daniel then went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Economics with a focus on Foreign Affairs and Marketing Communication from Corvinus University of Budapest in 2003. In addition to their degrees, they also have various certifications including the AMF Certificate from Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in France, the Physical Futures Trader Certificate from HUPX, and the Derivatives Market Trader (Futures and Options) and Spot Market Trader Certificates from European Energy Exchange AG.
