Matt Jaffee

VP, Engineering at Molecula

Jaffee is the VP of Engineering at Molecula. In practice, this involves leading the engineering team, writing code, working with Product, interfacing with the open source community, sales engineering, client success, devops, and eating lots of breakfast tacos.

He has spoken at Golang Meetups, been a guest on several podcasts including FLOSS Weekly and GoTime FM, and presented at OSCON about Pilosa and the power and flexibility of independent indexes.

As an undergraduate, Jaffee studied Astrophysics before moving into Computer Science and obtaining a Master’s degree in that field with a focus on software defined networking and distributed systems. He split from the PhD program to to pursue practical software engineering experience, and got exposed to everything from Javascript to Clojure to CUDA working at a small government contractor in the D.C. area.
