Molecule Systems is the execution layer for the distributed grid.

As distributed energy scales, scheduling and visibility are no longer enough. DERs only become permanent grid infrastructure when they deliver utility-grade performance. Molecule provides the execution infrastructure that makes that possible.

Our edge-first software platform enables reliable, deterministic control of distributed energy resources across any device type, manufacturer, or protocol, turning fragmented assets into coordinated, grid-trusted systems.

Delivered as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Molecule embeds within OEM hardware and operates as the missing execution layer, converting schedules, market signals, and control logic into real-world performance. We separate intent from execution, allowing partners to define control intelligence and strategy while Molecule turns it into real-world performance.

Scheduling is static. Operations are dynamic.
Legacy VPPs act like booking agents: they reserve capacity and hope assets respond when called. Molecule acts as the site operator, accountable for real-time behavior and outcomes.

Who we serve

OEMs
Ship grid-ready systems with lifecycle control, remote updates, and durable participation in grid services without building or maintaining a full software stack.

Utilities & grid operators
Operate DER portfolios that behave less like voluntary demand response and more like dependable infrastructure, with predictable, verifiable performance suitable for planning and operations.

Developers, asset owners & aggregators
Turn portfolios into responsive, revenue-generating fleets through execution-grade control that holds up under real operating conditions.

Through DividendVPP™, our white-labeled VPP offering, partners convert participation into performance, unlocking higher realized earnings through scalable, OEM-led deployment.

Molecule is where scheduling becomes operations, and where distributed energy becomes infrastructure.
