Eric Barnett

Eric Barnett is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Molekule. Eric has held this position since July 2019.

Prior to joining Molekule, Barnett was the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Strategy at Zoosk, Inc. from January 2010 to July 2019. While at Zoosk, Barnett was responsible for M&A and corporate securities law, and advised management on corporate governance, securities law, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Before their time at Zoosk, Barnett was an Assistant General Counsel at Sun Microsystems from January 2006 to December 2010. In this role, they supervised business and legal groups with respect to all legal issues associated with M&A, strategic, and investment transactions. Eric also advised management on 1934 Act reports and corporate policies and procedures, supported Board committees, and conducted associated legal training.

Barnett began their career as a Corporate Attorney at Baker & Hostetler LLP from January 2003 to December 2006. Eric then moved to Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati where they worked as a Corporate Attorney from January 1999 to December 2003.

Eric Barnett attended Northwestern University for their undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. Eric then went on to Stanford University to complete their Master of Science in chemical engineering. Finally, they attended Stanford Law School to earn their Juris Doctor.

Eric Barnett reports to Jonathan Harris, CEO. They are on a team with Jim Kronik - COO, Kate Thorp - SVP, Marketing, and JP Stallard - VP, Product & Brand.
