Michael Kim, Ph.D., currently serves as the Global Head of Category & Procurement at Molex, a position held since July 2016, with responsibilities that include managing a $1 billion spend and leading a high-performing sourcing team. Prior to Molex, Michael held significant roles at Komatsu Mining Corp. as the Head of Global Category Management & Strategic Sourcing, and at Federal Signal Corporation as Vice President of Strategic Sourcing, where efforts focused on transforming procurement strategies. Earlier career experiences include leadership positions at Mark IV Automotive, Ingersoll Rand, ArvinMeritor, and Generac Power Systems, accumulating extensive expertise in global procurement and category management across diverse industries. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology and has degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.
