Mike O'Brien

Mike O'Brien is the Optical Engineering Manager for Focal Technologies, a division of Moog Inc., where they lead product development and support efforts for fiber optic rotary joints. Mike graduated with a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from the University of Alberta and began their engineering career at JDS Uniphase, focusing on dense wavelength division multiplexing couplers. Over the years, Mike has advanced through various roles at Focal Technologies, contributing to both product development and engineering process improvements. Currently, they serve as the Principal Optical Engineer at Molex, continuing to build on their extensive expertise in optical engineering.
