Barbora Bartunkova is a Provenance Specialist at The Museum of Modern Art since December 2023, with extensive experience in modern and contemporary art, photography, and film. Currently a PhD candidate in the Yale History of Art Department, Barbora's dissertation focuses on "Sites of Resistance: Antifascism and the Czechoslovak Avant-Garde." Previous roles include a Chester Dale Fellow at the National Gallery of Art, exhibition consultant at The Museum of Modern Art, and guest curator at 8smička Art Zone. Barbora has also contributed to various prestigious institutions, including the Royal Academy of Arts and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. Educational achievements include a PhD from Yale University, an MA from UCL, and a BA in French with Film Studies from UCL, alongside studies at Université Paris-Sorbonne.
