Software Engineer at Mon Ami

Martin O'Donnell has worked in a variety of roles since 2017. In 2017, they worked as an Industrial Placement at BT, where they implemented a validation tool in Java to automate user validation on product websites and developed KPI dashboards using Python, Kibana and Bash to monitor BT's billing system. In 2018, they worked as a Demonstrator at Queen's University Belfast, where they worked with level 1 software students and answered questions about the labs and explained anything that the students do not understand during their lectures. In 2019, they worked as a Freelance React Native Developer, where they developed an iOS/Android mobile app using React Native for a startup - Food Safe System. This involved extensive coding in Javascript, database design, API development, language support and release management. In 2020, they worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Instil Software, where they developed an Angular web app and RESTful Java backend as part of a small agile team. Martin also developed a planning poker swiftUI app for iOS/macOS. In 2021, they worked at the Silicon Valley Internship Programme as an Internship Program. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Mon Ami.

Martin O'Donnell attended St Colmans College from 2008 to 2015, where they completed their secondary school education. Martin then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from Queen's University Belfast from 2015 to 2020.
