Eric Kittner

In 2018 Eric Kittner ushered in the next generation of leadership at Moneta. During that time, Moneta has transformed from a single-location Midwest firm into one of the nation’s largest, top ranked fee-only independent RIAs, now with a presence in Denver, Kansas City and the Greater Boston Area.

Moneta also shifted their strategy from one of organic-only growth to also include mergers and acquisitions for the first time in the firm’s history. Assets under management grew to $27 billion. The firm also has been ranked in Barron’s Top 10 in the nation for its combination of quality and scale for the last three years, 2018-2020.

Eric has also continued the firm’s commitment to growth of their employees, as well as the community. He has continued the culture of making employees’ well-being a priority, as evidenced by their continued streak of nominations as a Best Place to Work.

Eric also helped advance Moneta’s impact in the community as Moneta Charitable Foundation (MCF) celebrated its 20th anniversary with a record-setting pledge campaigns from employees in 2019 and 2020, as well as initiating a paid time off policy for employees. “Giving back is a valued tradition here at Moneta. Our employees generously invest their hard-earned dollars back into their community, but they also give their time and energy to make a positive impact as well.”

Eric joined Moneta in 2003 because he was looking to build relationships while taking a more proactive, forward-looking role in the lives of his clients. He loves providing a service and managing his own practice, making Moneta’s client-focused and entrepreneurial approach a perfect landing spot for him.

Prior to Moneta, Eric earned his CPA, as it was a priority for him to understand all of the financial aspects of running a business. He went on to attain experience at major firms like Ernst & Young, Arthur Anderson and RubinBrown. He graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. with a B.A. in Accounting and also attended the London School of Economics.

Eric moved to St. Louis from the East Coast in 2002, following his wife, Ryann, back to her hometown, now a city he is also passionate about calling home.
