David Pepper

David Pepper currently serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Derivative Path, a role commenced in February 2023. Prior to this, David held the position of Director of Commodities and Swap Dealer Compliance at Wells Fargo Securities from January 2018 to February 2023, overseeing compliance for the firm’s physical and financial commodities business. David’s legal expertise was further honed at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, where as Special Counsel, legal advice was provided on the Commodity Exchange Act and related regulations from November 2012 to December 2017. Earlier experience includes an associate role at Milberg LLP focusing on investor rights litigation and financial analysis at the same firm while pursuing a law degree. Additional roles include equities trader at Advest, Inc. and global sales and trading at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. David holds a JD from New York Law School and a BA in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University.
