As covid hit in 2020, the economic impact to the global economy was catastrophic. The world went completely digital overnight, some nations managed the transition better than others. 

Since covid an economic reset of war like proportions has taken place. Inflation and sovereign debt levels are becoming unmanageable as troubled Governments and Regulators take extraordinary steps to preserve their nations economies and home currency on the world stage. 

The must-have financial tool for Governments are Central Bank Digital Currencies AKA #CBDC. China launched their CBDC in April 2021 and the rest of the world are playing catch up.

In 2021 Moneybrain applied to the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) to establish Moneybrain Global Ltd as it's International HQ for the Moneybrain SuperApp.

As a recognised International Finance Centre, Jersey has the enviable position of pioneering established legal and regulatory frameworks for digital asset platforms and businesses.

In 2015 Jersey regulators approved the launch of the 1st ever #Bitcoin fund.

In March 2023 following a 12 month incubation testing period, Moneybrain Global Ltd became regulated as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) business.
