Alex Dao

Alex Dao has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alex most recently worked at MongoDB starting in 2020, where they held the positions of Lead, Web Experiences, Lead Product Manager, and Senior Product Manager, all focusing on web-related projects.

Prior to that, Alex worked at CNBC from 2016 to 2020 as a Product Manager, contributing to the significant growth of CNBC Digital in the Business/Finance News category. Alex played a key role in implementing Google's Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) and achieving substantial traffic growth.

From 2013 to 2016, Alex worked at Oprah Winfrey Network as a Digital Product Manager, overseeing various projects including website redesign, mobile app development, and marketing campaigns.

Before that, they worked at ChinaGoAbroad as a Product & Operations Manager, leading initiatives targeting Chinese investors. Alex also gained legal experience as a Foreign Associate at TransAsia Lawyers and interned at Tilleke & Gibbins International Ltd, Indochine Counsel, and EVERSHEDS HARRY ELIAS LLP.

Alex's work experience reflects their ability to drive product strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and successfully manage projects in different industries.

Alex Dao's education history begins with obtaining a diploma in College Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program from Saint Viator High School, which they completed from 1996 to 2000. Alex then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Illinois Chicago, graduating in 2004.

In 2007, Alex had the opportunity to study abroad at the National University of Singapore, where they engaged in a foreign study program in the Faculty of Law. During this period, they did not earn a specific degree.

Continuing their academic journey, Alex attended the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Alex became a Certified ScrumMaster in March 2013 through the Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, they acquired the status of a retired lawyer from the New York State Unified Court System in 2013 and the ARDC: Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois in 2010.
