Alex Sarkesian

Alex Sarkesian is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in building and enhancing technology solutions across various prestigious companies. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at MongoDB since September 2025, Alex previously held positions at Temporal Technologies and Cockroach Labs, focusing on distributed systems and cloud-native database technologies. With earlier roles at Dropbox, Uber, Spotify, Bloomberg, J.P. Morgan, and as a consultant at the University of Michigan, Alex has developed expertise in backend development, system architecture, and software engineering in diverse domains.
