Annie Black

Annie Black has work experience in various roles at different companies. At MongoDB, they started in 2018 as a Software Engineer and later became an Engineering Team Lead in 2021. As an Engineering Team Lead, Annie manages a small team of engineers and is responsible for maintaining and improving Evergreen, MongoDB's internal CI System. Annie also recently took on the additional responsibility of managing Evergreen's UI team to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience. Prior to MongoDB, Annie worked as a Software Engineering Intern at MongoDB in 2017, where they designed a Go command-line tool to track AWS spending and implemented queries of the AWS API in Go. Annie also added functionality to a Go logging library to create Jira tickets and add Jira comments. Before that, Annie worked as a Software Development Intern at Grant Street Group in 2016, where they researched features for a new company job application process and implemented the back-end components using Perl, MySQL, and WordPress.

Annie Black completed their high school education from St. Charles North High School between 2011 and 2014. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, graduating between 2014 and 2018.
