Fred Roma is currently the SVP of Product & Engineering at MongoDB, where they focus on building trusted products and leading effective teams. Prior to this role, they served as General Manager of Identity Management at Amazon Web Services from 2020 to 2024, overseeing critical identity platforms used by all AWS customers. Fred held the position of VP of Engineering at Thales from 2015 to 2020, leading product development for the Enterprise & Cybersecurity business unit. They also contributed significantly to the growth of Gemalto as Director of Engineering and served as Chief Technology Officer at Netsize prior to its acquisition. Fred holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
