Joshua Maag has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joshua started their career as a Software Engineer at Steton Technologies, where they developed prototype controls and implemented different aspects into the .NET Framework for a product upgrade. Joshua then transitioned to be the Owner/Developer at Maag Design, where they developed and maintained websites and iPhone applications for clients using various technologies.

Later, Joshua joined IDEX Corporation as the Web Technical Lead/IT Manager, where they maintained and managed web applications for the IH&S group. Joshua also coordinated with vendors on web application projects and managed IT at Trebor International. Additionally, they maintained intranet sites for communication, manufacturing, and ERP.

Afterward, Joshua worked as a Contract Software Engineer at NTS Inc., responsible for developing software solutions. Joshua then joined the Utah Division of Technology Services as a Team Lead Software Analysis III, leading a team and contributing to software analysis projects.

In 2012, Joshua founded their own company, SquareHook, and served as the Founder. Joshua successfully established and ran the business until 2015.

Joshua's most recent and current role is at MongoDB, where they have progressed from being a Senior Consulting Engineer to a Technical Services Team Lead, followed by a promotion as a Manager of Technical Services. Joshua is presently working as a Senior Manager of Technical Services.

Joshua Maag has a diverse education history. In 1997, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, majoring in Pre-Med/Computer Science. Joshua completed their Bachelor's degree in 2001. Following that, from 2001 to 2003, they attended San Francisco State University, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science.

After a gap in their education, Joshua returned to the University of Utah and enrolled in the David Eccles School of Business. Joshua pursued a Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA) degree from 2010 to 2012 with a focus on Business Management.

In addition to their formal education, Joshua Maag has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they completed MongoDB Advanced Dev Ops Training and MongoDB Node.js for Developers courses at MongoDB, Inc.
