Joshua Wickman is a PhD physicist and software engineer with over a decade of experience in software engineering across the development stack. They have held various roles, including teaching assistant and instructor in physics at the University of Delaware and Binghamton University, where they developed course materials and conducted lectures. At MongoDB, Joshua served as a lead engineer, guiding a team and developing internal applications, as well as a staff engineer focusing on critical business initiatives. Their technical expertise includes database management, data engineering, and system design across multiple platforms. Joshua has contributed to numerous research publications and has been recognized with several fellowships during their academic career.
