Mike Shine

Mike Shine has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mike has held various leadership roles in companies such as MongoDB, Mimecast, BA Insight, AvePoint, and Indev Gauging.

At MongoDB, Mike served as the Director of Solutions Architecture, responsible for overseeing the architecture team in the western region. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture. Mike'stenure at MongoDB started in 2020.

At Mimecast, Mike served as the Director of Sales Engineering, where they were responsible for driving efficiencies and business constancy within the global sales engineering group. Prior to this, they served as the Sales Engineering Manager, overseeing a team of sales engineers in Boston. Mike joined Mimecast in 2016 and left in 2020.

Before joining Mimecast, Mike worked at BA Insight as the VP of Sales for the Central U.S. region. Mike played a key role in growing regional sales from $0 to $2M annually by implementing prospecting and account planning strategies. Additionally, they took a sabbatical from work to travel the world and enhance their cultural awareness. Mike'stenure at BA Insight lasted from 2011 to 2016.

Prior to BA Insight, Mike worked at AvePoint as the Director of Sales Engineering. Mike mentored a team of sales engineers, growing regional annual revenue from $1M to $7M through consultative selling. Mike also developed industry-specific demonstration environments and designed a sales reporting system. Mike'stenure at AvePoint lasted from 2008 to 2011.

Mike started their career at Indev Gauging as a Software Developer, where they worked on a supervisory control and data acquisition software package. Mike developed market-driven software features using Delphi, Java, mySQL, and Linux. Mike worked at Indev Gauging from 2006 to 2008.

Mike Shine attended Valparaiso University from 2000 to 2004, where they studied Computer Engineering. After that, they pursued professional development, although the exact details regarding the duration and field of study are unknown.
