Thomas Chang is a seasoned software engineering leader currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at MongoDB. With a strong background in building scalable data management platforms, Thomas previously held the role of Engineering Manager at Google, overseeing Query Processing and Database Performance teams. Before that, Thomas was an Engineering Director at Rubrik, where they contributed to the development of the world’s first cloud data management platform. Thomas has also held significant positions at Oracle, including Director of Oracle Labs Advanced Database Development, where they advanced in-memory database technologies. Thomas earned a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from National Central University.
