While bank accounts are regulated, there is no regulation at the processor level and providers are free to charge whatever they can get away with.

So many business owners have a great rate, not knowing that the processors rate is just the tip of the iceberg.

The Merchant Score is calculated by testing your merchant processing statement in 11 different categories ranging from hidden and inflated fees to coding and completely made up fees.  Each category has a weighted score.
