Dr. Tyler is the Deputy Market Monitor of Monitoring Analytics. Dr. Tyler’s responsibilities include the development and implementation of processes for daily monitoring of PJM markets, reporting on market power issues in the energy market, and developing and evaluating energy and reserve market design proposals. Dr. Tyler was a manager in the Southwest Power Pool Market Monitoring Unit, served on the economics faculty of the University of Oklahoma, taught economics at the University of Virginia, and worked as an analyst in the energy market power practice at PA Consulting and PHB Hagler Bailly. Dr. Tyler has a BA in Economics from The College of William & Mary and an MA and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
