Daniel Murphy has a diverse work experience in the field of research and engineering. Daniel started their career as a Licensed Nuclear Reactor Operator at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from January 2006 to May 2007. Daniel then worked as a Graduate Student Intern at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from August 2009 to August 2010. After that, they joined UC Berkeley as a Graduate Student Researcher from August 2010 to May 2015, and later as a Postdoctoral Researcher from May 2015 to July 2016. In 2014, they were a Visiting Researcher at KAUST. Currently, they are working as the Lead Thermal Engineer at Monolith Materials since July 2016.
Daniel Murphy has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Daniel continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2008 to 2009. Finally, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 2010 to 2015.
