Michael Brooks has a diverse work experience in the chemical industry. Michael is currently the Head of Regulatory Affairs at MonoSol, A Kuraray Company since January 2023. Prior to this, they were a Senior Manager-Regulatory for MonoSol from November 2019 to February 2023. Before joining MonoSol, Michael worked as the Product Safety & Regulations Manager at Emery Oleochemicals LLC from June 2017 to November 2019. Michael also has experience at Emery Oleochemicals GmbH as an R&D professional from January 2013 to June 2019. Additionally, they have worked as a GMP Kilo Lab Manager at PCI Synthesis from March 2012 to January 2013, and as a cGMP Production Manager at Cambridge Isotope Laboratories from November 2009 to November 2011. Michael started their career as a Senior Scientist at Archemix from 2008 to July 2009 and as a Senior Scientist at Girindus America from 2002 to 2008. Prior to this, they worked as an Organic Chemist at HWY 36 from 1994 to 1996.
Michael Brooks received their high school education at Roger Bacon High School from 1983 to 1987. Michael then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Denver, completing their studies from 1989 to 1994. After that, they pursued further education and earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Miami University, where they studied from 1996 to 2002.
