Thomas Irvine has a vast work experience spanning over several companies. Thomas started their career as an Application Development Manager at The Quaker Oats Company, where they successfully transformed the inventory management system and led the development and support for over 100 factories and warehouses. After that, they joined Northern Trust as a Vice President, overseeing the development of a client web portal, managing call center operations, and leading the strategy and operations for digital properties and internal applications as VP Worldwide Operations. Thomas then moved on to The Chicago Community Trust, where they served as Chief Information Officer, responsible for leading the organization's technology transformation and directing IT strategy, operations, application development, and support. Most recently, they became the Director of Information Technology at MonoSol, a Kuraray Division. Additionally, they have been a faculty member at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, teaching courses in Technology and Strategic Thinking within the Lake Forest Leadership MBA program.

Thomas Irvine obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Drake University, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. Following that, they pursued higher education at the DePaul Driehaus College of Business, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Management Information Systems (MIS) from 1988 to 1990.
