Bill Betts

Bill Betts has over 20 years of software engineering experience. Bill worked at various companies including Monotype, RIZE Inc., 3D Systems Corporation, Bose Corporation, Avidyne, and Papyrus Design Group. At Monotype, they served as a Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, where they developed key technologies and tools related to font contour conversion and harmonization. At RIZE Inc., they were a Contract Software Engineer and created the embedded User Interface for their 3D printer. At 3D Systems Corporation, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer, developing software for driving 3D printers. At Bose Corporation, they were an Embedded Software Engineer and worked on graphics infrastructure and music selection algorithms for their audio systems. At Avidyne, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and was part of the team that developed the first flat panel 'glass' display for general aviation. Lastly, at Papyrus Design Group, they worked as a Graphics Engineer and developed software rendering systems and special effects for racing games.

Bill Betts attended The Lancashire Polytechnic from 1986 to 1990 where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Physics. Bill further pursued their education at Bishop's University from 1993 to 1996, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
