Athan Dial

Athan Dial has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Athan currently holds the position of Data Research Lead at Montai Health, where they oversee a team of data scientists and is responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets for natural compound and drug research. Athan is also involved in designing and maintaining a proprietary database of natural compounds with pharmacological properties for therapeutic development.

Prior to their current role, Athan worked as a PhD Candidate and also held various positions at McMaster University. As a Student Partner, they worked closely with faculty members to improve course delivery and curriculum. Athan also worked as an M.Sc. Student, Research Assistant, Programming Coordinator, and Strength & Conditioning Coach (Intern). Additionally, they served as a Sports Medicine Team Therapist.

Athan has previously worked at Replica Analytics as a Data Scientist, where they developed data analysis programs and implemented machine learning models. Athan also worked as the Chief Analytics Officer at ARCHITECHealth and as an Outreach Manager at Industry Link McMaster.

Athan Dial's education history begins in 2006 when they attended Cardinal Carter Catholic High School for their secondary education. After graduating high school in 2010, they enrolled at McMaster University and obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, completing their undergraduate studies in 2014. They continued their education at McMaster University from 2015 to 2017, where they earned a Master's Degree in Neuromuscular Biology. Lastly, from 2017 to 2021, Athan Dial pursued a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Sciences at McMaster University.
