Stephen Spindel

Stephen Spindel is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Montefiore Medical Center, where they serve as the Medical Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Step Down Unit and the Associate Program Director for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship Program. From 2018 to 2024, Stephen worked as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Ochsner Health. They also held the position of Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 2004 to 2005 and in the 159 Fighter Wing Louisiana Air National Guard from 2005 to 2012. Stephen is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science at Tulane University, a Doctor of Medicine at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, and a Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
