Simon Brickle is the Co-Founder & COO at Monterosa, the audience interaction company. Simon has over 25 years of experience in the software industry, with a focus on interactive technologies and software development.
Simon started their career in 1991 as a C/C++ Unix Developer at DMC Datenverarbeitungs- und Management Consulting GmbH. Simon then moved to NovCom NV in 1995, where they were the Technical Project Lead for two years. In 1997, they became a Senior C++ Developer at Italtel, and then in 1999 they took on the role of Development Team Lead (Contract) at Thomson Reuters. In October 1999, Simon joined the BBC as the Technical Manager, where they worked until September 2002.
In 2006, Simon co-founded Monterosa with the aim of developing innovative technologies that make it easy for anyone to create and deliver engaging live and on-demand content experiences. Under Simon’s leadership, Monterosa has gone from strength to strength, and today they work with some of the world’s leading broadcasters and publishers.
Simon Brickle studied Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where they earned their BA. Simon then went on to study Computer Speech and Language Processing at the University of Cambridge, earning their MPhil.
